So I’m at an event recently where a mentor of mine is speaking and sharing a great story of how he was able to turn a corner at 115 miles per hour without any prior racing experience…How did he do it?
With the help of his Coach!
His story made me want to share with you the value and importance of Coaching, and why you should probably have a Coach of your own – And if you’re a business owner, why offering Coaching within your business is so important!
One of the quickest ways to either get started on something that you want to achieve, or to add value and make more money in your business, is to work with a Coach.
Back to the story of my mentor and his car racing fun.
So he’s in the car, he’s on a racecourse, and he’s barreling down the racetrack, coming up to a turn.
The guy next to him is his Coach. His Coach knows what the car can do.
The Coach knows exactly where his client needs to start breaking and how fast he should be going, and what kind of speed he can carry through that turn. And so my mentor followed his Coach’s instruction…
(That’s what you do with your Coach – You listen and you follow the instructions to get the results desired.)
And sure enough, he hit his mark, did an amazing job and went even faster with each lap.
Coaching is why many successful people are where they are at in their lives. High achievers in all different kinds of fields…from athletics, to business, health and wellness, or whatever it is….
Many people who are experiencing success have a Coach. Think of some of our top athletes for example. LeBron James is probably one of the greatest basketball players on the planet right now – And he’s also got a Coach. And this is why if you’re in business, Coaching is so easy to present to your team.
It’s an easy thing to add to your business because high achievers (or people who strive to be) will get it.
Most will anyway, not everyone gets the value.
But it’s those high achievers that you want on your team anyway. The high achievers will want to get the results and so it will be easy to share the benefits.
A great way to get started on any new project, goal or dream is to hire and work with a Coach. If you’re a business owner you’ll probably want to work with your own Coach, plus add high value to your organization by adding Coaching as a high value benefit.
Many people are willing to pay a lot of money to work with a Coach. It takes the commitment of time, money and energy – And the beautiful thing is – it’s a great way to up your game, stay sharp, learn amazing new skills and have a lot of fun at the same time.
I’m a huge fan of adding Coaching in both personal and professional growth and development – It’s the one constant in my own life that has helped me sustain the kind of life and business that I love and deserve.
My mentor said in his talk that there’s no way that he would have gone to the 115 miles per hour around that corner, having no prior experience…He just decided to go for something that he wanted and hired a Coach to help him get it.
One thing I hear that holds people back is “I’m not sure if I can….” or….”What if I can’t….”
Consider these simple questions instead…What if you knew that you could?
What if you connected to a great teacher who could teach you new skills, amazing new resources and techniques that you could use in your day-to-day life?
What if you had a great Leader who could guide you and show you the way towards what it really is that you want – helping you discover it if you’re not sure, through asking you the right questions?
Great Coaching is a life-transforming process that inspires us to dig deep and to set meaningful goals.
Coaching is about understanding your needs and wants, bringing into awareness what’s holding you back, and then empowering you to the next level.
I love what Nelson Mandela once said: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

It’s the place to be…whether you’re wanting to see if you’re on the right track, get back on track, or if you want to pick up the pace and really “punch it” (racing term)
