I use Essential Oils for a lot of different things in my life. Headache? Yup, there’s an Oil for that…
Feeling stressed? Back ache? Cough, Cold, Flu…. Countless Reasons... Endless Benefits
I love sharing tools that work well, that are easy to use, and the fact that these are safe and natural is HUGE!
There are so many skin related issues out there; you can literally use Essential Oils for pretty much anything.
If you’re wanting to learn more about which Essential Oils are great for skin care – you’re in the right place! I add 2-3 drops of Frankincense and Myrrh to my morning and evening face care routine. There are many amazing options… and if I had to pick my Top 6 for skin… I’d say these are definitely on the list
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense Essential Oil is my favourite oil to use for just about everything. It’s great for all skin types. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits for the skin, which is really good news for people who suffer from acne. It’s also a natural toner, so it helps to decrease the appearance of pores and helps to even skin-tone. It supports new cell growth, helping to tighten skin and reduce wrinkles and even the appearance of scars. It also helps soothe chapped, dry skin. For so many reasons… I Love Love Love my Frankincense…. I use it every day!
Lavender Essential Oil
For me, Lavender is an important staple because it’s one of the most versatile oils you can get. If you love the scent of Lavender, you’ll be in heaven; it smells amazing… but it’s so much more than just sweet smelling. It’s great for regenerating skin cells, and helps with sunspots. A friend of mine mixes Frankincense with Lavender (just a few drops of each) and applies it directly to her age spots first thing in the morning and then at night before bed. Dermatologists and Aroma Therapists suggest that Lavender Oil is one of the most beneficial oils to treat acne, since Lavender stops the bacteria that cause the infection. If you don’t have it yet, or are running low… stock up!
Myrrh Essential Oil
Both my Frankincense and Myrrh travel with me pretty much everywhere I go. There are countless benefits of Myrrh; it’s a powerful antioxidant. It supports healthy skin. The Egyptians used Myrrh to maintain healthy skin and sooth chapped and cracked skin. It’s very popular today being used in oral hygiene products. It’s got great benefits for maturing skin like mine. The strong anti-inflammatory properties help improve skin tone, firmness, and skin elasticity. Myrrh can also help heal sun damage, rashes, and eczema. This is another daily use for me.
Neroli Essential Oil
This is a great for oily, sensitive, and mature skin. It helps to smooth fine lines and helps give sagging skin a nice natural lift. Neroli is known for it’s repairing and rejuvenating properties. It contains a natural chemical called citral, which helps regenerate cells. For this reason, it can be really helpful at preventing and healing stretch marks, as well. Its antiseptic properties also balance oil production and shrink the appearance of pores without drying skin. It's as a stress reliever and skin nourisher in a warm bath. During ancient times, Neroli Oil was essential in helping combat the plague, relieve fever, and banish nervousness.
Tea Tree Essential Oil AKA Melaleuca Essential Oil
Tea Tree Oil is AMAZING for oily and sensitive skin. A lot of you may already know that Tea Tree Oil is one of the better-known essential oils for acne-prone skin. It’s got the same antibacterial and anti fungal properties that Lavender Essential Oil has. And it’s great for helping with minor cuts, scrapes and burns. Very soothing for skin and a great cleanser!
Rose Essential Oil
Rose Essential Oil is excellent for moisturizing dry skin. Researchers have found that it contains several therapeutic compounds known to promote healing, especially antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory compounds, which helps with redness and inflammation. It helps refine skin texture and tone, and can be helpful with managing psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. A study has even shown that Rose Essential Oil can help heal wounds, as inhaling it inhibits water loss in the skin and lowers the concentration of cortisol (a stress hormone) in the body.
This Oil elevates my mind and opens my heart - the scent is just gorgeous and so sensual. Quality Rose Oil is expensive, but oh so worth every drop!

I’m not a medical doctor. I believe in, and am passionate about helping people live a better, healthier and happier life. This blog post isn’t at all intended to diagnose, cure or prevent disease. The information that I’m sharing is from my own personal use, and results are different and vary for everyone.
Using Essential Oils is not a cure-all or magic bullet. A healthy balanced body is the results of a well-rounded program of exercise and proper diet. Health is everything we do, say, hear, see and eat. Essential Oils are only one tool to help restore balance in the body that will result in good health. Healthy eating habits and a positive, open mind will help prepare the body and skin to accept the oils better and more rapidly.
